The USTA is a not-for-profit organization with more than 700,000 members. The USTA runs the US Open (one of 4 Grand Slam tournaments in New York City at the end of the summer. Proceeds from this tournament are used to promote and develop the growth of tennis, from the grassroots to the professional levels. The USTA sponsors leagues all over the country which provides team play for adults.
